Recommended foods when patient has high urea, uric acid, high blood pressure and diabetes?
babychi asked:
I know this sounds a lot, and I’m really scared.
My Uncle has done a blood test and found out that there was high levels of urea, moderate uric acid, and high blood glucose. In addition to that, he generally suffers from high blood pressure. I’ve read a lot about the recommended diets, but they are all conflicting and I’m confused. What should be avoided/ should be eaten, particularly with respect to urea, which is very worrying.

I would consult a nutritionist. With so many different problems that would be the best bet.
High urea you need to avoid “rich” comfort foods and alcohol. Uric Acid would probably fall within the same catagory as well. Diabetes, stay away from high carbs, potatoes, corn, sugars. Stick to proteins and non carb veggies. High blood pressure. Loose weight. If over weight. Otherwise. just a good healthy diet. Low in fats
