“Shaking” is not a symptom of Diabetes, so you need to get your dog in to a vet for a full blood panel. If the blood work doesn’t show anything, you may have to look into neurology to find the problem.

Well I suppose you could ask the vet SPECIFICALLY to do the tests for diabetes. Or you could look for a different vet as yours does not seem to have a clue what he is doing. I don’t know how a vet could diagnose anything if the OWNER had to tell the vet what to test for. I for one have often brought my pets to a vet specifically because I did not know what was wrong with them, then the vet with his/her years of education and experience was able to perform tests and evaluate the results so that he/she could provide me with a diagnosis.

No vet is going to refuse to do blood work. THAT is the way they find out WHAT is wrong.

So, you either have a lousy, no good, useless vet or you have not taken your dog to the vet yet.

Which is it? If you actually took your dog to the vet then change vets.

While you are at it report he/she to the the your state department of regulations.

Could be low blood sugar and that is why the honey stops the “seizures”. Go to another vet, ASAP

GO TO A DIFFERANT VET!!!!!!!! something is WRONG wit ur dog! maybe not diabetic but his thiroid, or sugar levels, GO TO VET ASAP when a dog “shakes” its there body reaching out for help!

Go to another vet asap; Allow the vet to run a panel of tests in addition to a blood test.
