Getting diabetes early , does it make you infertile ?
malinda asked:
I am 30 male, my fasting blood sugar is 140. this was the first test I did
Does this mean I will be a diabetes for life ? my father is diabetes too

Is there a problem with males becoming infertile when they get diabetes early?

I am sorry to say but it is bitter truth that your diabetic is in initial stage. You are suffering from type 2 diabetes.
At this stage you can control your sugar by diet control, regular exercise like brisk walking at least 5 km per day and various Yogasana like Yogmudrasan Mandukasan, Kurmasan, Dhanurasan.
In diet regime you must start to take small food several times a day instead of large food amount at a time.
Increase natural fiber rich food in your diet and eliminate sugar containing food.

Diabetes is highly genetic, so the chances are higher if you have a parent with diabetes. The best way to prevent type 2 diabetes is to diet and exercise. The best meals to have are small protein (baked chicken, fish..) and lots of veggies, and then a small amount of carbs (baked potatoes) you should have 2 servings of veggie, and 1 each of carbs and protein for lunch and dinner. And never skip a meal. Also taking walks or cardio in the gym is best exercise. You can possible lower your chances of using medications by good exercise and diet. With extreme cases of diabetes you can have trouble with infertility but nothing you probably need to worry about.

You do not yet know which type of diabetes you have. You could be in the early stages of Type 1 diabetes. 25% of people with Type 1 are diagnosed after age 20. You need to follow up with your doctor and have more tests done to determine this.
If you have Type 2, you can control it with diet and exercise. 140 is not good, but it’s not way out of control yet.
As others have said, there is an increased risk for ED in the future, however, you have hope of avoiding this by tightly controlling your blood sugar.
