It&#039;s 100g of sugar on an empty stomach.  It won&#039;t harm you, but it&#039;s really uncomfortable because pregnant women don&#039;t do well with starving themselves then pigging out on sugar!  So don&#039;t worry too much, I know lots of women feel horrible after this test and some even throw up or pass out.  It doesn&#039;t bother other women, go figure!  Next time (if there was such a thing) pack something to eat right in your purse so you don&#039;t have to drive home like that. 

I hope you&#039;re rested up now, and congrats on the normal results.</description>

I was that way (shaky, dizzy, nearly passing out) after the hour was up. I even got sick in the waiting room. My blood sugar was too low, not high, and they didn&#039;t have me do the 3 hour test.
No, I don&#039;t have gestational diabetes, just low blood sugar (which I&#039;ve had to go to the ER for, since being pregnant).</description>
