Am I a diabetic?
ginger8482 asked:
Type 1 diabetes runs in my family (2 uncles). I’ve been sick for about a month: extreme fatigue, headaches, nausea, dizziness, irritability. I also feel feverish frequently. At first i thought I was pregnant, but tested negative. I had a very short (2days) period as well. Today I noticed that my urine smells very strong; I almost can’t stand to smell in myself! Do you think I’m diabetic, or is there another ailment with similar symptoms?

I would recommend to go see a doctor and have some blood work done. They even may take a urine sample Diabetes can run in the family. Some of the symptons you are experiencing are diabetes related.
I agree with above; plus you can self test for diabetes at home. Home testing kits are very accurate.

Get to the Doctor now. If you are diabetic the sooner you get treatment the better. You may want to have one of your uncles test you with their monitor. Make sure you sterilize the lancette and put in a new lance before you use it. Your uncle can tell you what a normal reading is. This could be diabetes. You may also be thirsty, lose weight, and have bad breathe.

Don’t play doctor. Go see a doctor. There is more to diabetics then just a few symptoms. I give you credit for knowing what to look for, but see a doctor for blood work.
